A Free Sale is a certificate issued for export which is not restricted or prohibited for export confirming that the product is freely sold in the country.
The certificate of free sale is evidence that goods are legally sold or distributed in the open market, freely without restriction, and approved by the regulatory authorities in the country of origin.
Free sale certificate will be valid for three years.
In foreign trade, a Free Sale Certificate is a customs document. It is used as a customs declaration issued by the exporter that is exporting an item across international borders. However, there is no standard format but it must include a few specific pieces of information such as the parties involved in the shipping transaction, the goods being transported, the country of manufacture, Price etc.
It gives an assurance from an agency that the products listed on the certificate are freely sold and manufactured in the country seeking to export a particular item.
